Hello Shepherd of the Mountains! It me again Jordanelle!
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am so excited for summer! There are so many fun summer activities to do camping, gardening, hiking, fun summer activities at the church, and watermelon.
I am also excited to have completed my first full year of college at SUU and I am excited for all the fun summer opportunities that are available. I am also excited to be able to work more on planning for the 2024 ELCA Youth and Young Adult Gathering. This is such a fun event I would love for our youth to get to experience. If you would like to help in any way with this process reach out to me and let me know.
Another exciting journey for me is my upcoming study abroad and I am so excited because it gives me the chance to learn all about a new culture. We will be touring some very beautiful European churches and getting to see how different cultures come together to celebrate religion.
As many of you know that challenge, I have given to myself and you for this year is to immerse yourself in religion of all kinds and ways and explore your personal relationship with God. A good way to start with this process if you can’t figure out where to start is by engaging in the RIC discussions because encouraging everyone to come be a part of Gods house is essential and so important for our future.
In the spirit of hyping us all up for summer I challenge you to write a summer bucket list of 3 summer activities for events you have never done but want to try and then go do them this summer. Let the spirit of God take you on a journey this summer and find something new that you love about the summertime.
